How It Works

As the film distribution arm of GRC, we are an Educational, TV and VOD distributor of a wide variety of films and TV shows from the Caribbean, produced by Caribbean filmmakers, as well as films with themes/topics of interest to Caribbean and Caribbean-diaspora audiences.

Our collection of films focuses on Caribbean stories, voices, and experiences - at home and in the diaspora - and include TV series, documentaries, and fictional films across all genres.

‍Educational Streaming Licenses

‍For most of our titles, the license term is perpetuity (i.e. life of the digital file) but a few are not. If perpetuity rights are included, your institution will receive:

1) one digital copy of the title for download to be kept in your library. With this download, you can set up unlimited streaming, so if students, professors, or other verified library users want to use for themselves or for an audience of students at the university, you provide your own login credentials to them;

2) Screening rights (just for your professors and students, campus events) into perpetuity as well as long as there is not a paying audience. If there is a paying audience, a separate fee is charged, which depends on the film and the filmmaker(s) and whether you would want a Skype or in-person Q&A with the filmmaker.

DVD's

If DVDs are needed for your selected title(s) in addition to the digital download, there is an additional fee, which depends on the title(s). Please contact us [production@18degreesnorth.tv] for the applicable DVD fee. Kindly note that not all titles have accompanying DVDs.

How to Order

‍Individual Streaming Licenses

‍Global Reporters for the Caribbean is pleased to offer video on demand (VOD) streaming on Gumroad for rent or purchase by individuals for personal viewing with family and friends only.

Prices vary by title. Payment must be made by credit card online and all payments are processed directly through Gumroad.

Restrictions

Individual licenses are for personal use only and programs are protected by copyright. You are strictly prohibited from screening, loaning, or broadcasting to any group for either educational or commercial purposes.

‍Broadcast Licensing (TV Stations)

‍Television and broadcast rights for cable, commercial, or educational television are NOT included with educational or individual licenses. While our titles may be shown on television, they must first be cleared for television and covered by a licensing agreement prior to broadcast. Rates depend on population size, film release year, and run time in a given territory.
